Jackie Brenner
Jackie founded Piece of Peace at the young age of 17. She attended Saint Andrew’s School from grades 9-11 and will attend Phillips Exeter Academy for her senior year. For the past 5 years, Jackie has been a vegan, constantly adjusting her eating habits and exercise regimen to maximize her health and well being. She understands the demands of school aged children/teens, and knows how hard it is to find healthy, quick, nutritious snacks and foods. She has completed several vegan-cooking classes, worked as a chef in a restaurant, shadowed nutritionists and doctors, and studied nutrition at the Kripalu Institute, and is constantly reading new information about Biochemistry of Nutrition, Ayurveda, and yoga. Her passion to educate kids about wellness and the importance of healthy eating, yoga, and mindfulness has brought her program to numerous schools and after school programs. She also loves reading and studying carbohydrate chemistry to connect it to nutrition. She serves as an All Star for the Alliance of a Healthier Generation, is a Student Ambassador for Health Corps, and writes for the Green Schools National Network. Her mantra for Piece of Peace is, “Every piece of food you eat, will lead to inner peace.”
